Spectrum Lighting recently announced that Bob Wedekind has been hired as vice president of product development, reporting directly to COO and Principal Jeff Fein.

Previously, Wedekind served as the strategic business unit manager at Lightolier, where he implemented its project selection process and directed its research and development efforts. He also created and led the design and engineering training program, yielding 13 industrial design and mechanical engineers. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Wedekind is also a member of the advisory board at University of Massachusett Dartmouth’s college of mechanical engineering.
