LRC Introduces Lighting for Healthy Living Website

Site focuses on importance of circadian-effective design.
June 9, 2020

The Lighting Research Center (LRC), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., recently launched a Lighting for Healthy Living website. Integrating recent developments in lighting research and education while bridging them to lighting applications in real-world situations, the new site focuses less on patterns and more on the process.

Intended to educated designers, lighting manufacturers, students, and the general public, this website provides background information as well as design application guidelines to bring the importance of circadian-effective design to light. Visitors will learn the basics of light and the circadian system and how it can apply to lighting design in hospitals, offices, schools, and senior care facilities.
