2020 IES Street and Area Lighting Conference Goes Virtual

Event will span three days to accommodate attendees.
July 7, 2020

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) recently announced that the in-person IES Street and Area Lighting Conference (SALC), originally scheduled for Oct. 18-21, 2020, in Dallas, has been canceled and will be moving to a virtual setting in order to prioritize the health and safety of the lighting community during the pandemic.

The new dates for the virtual event will be October 19-21. Registration costs $299 for IES members and $399 for non-members, with reduced rates for emerging professionals (EPs) and student members. SALC Educational “Sunday” Courses will not be offered this year. At this time, IES and SALC Committee haven’t determined if a virtual tradeshow will be included with the transition to a virtual conference setting.

By providing a schedule that offers content across three days, IES hopes registrants will be able to attend all sessions while minimizing time away from work and other responsibilities. Additional information regarding agenda, speakers, and more will be available shortly.
