• IES and Garden Light LED Offer Online Course

Course offers training on nighttime lighting design.
    Nov. 11, 2020

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and Garden Light LED recently partnered to launch a new eLearning course, “Learn Night Light: Observe, Design, Refine.” Featuring Janet Lennox Moyer, a landscape lighting designer and author with more than 45 years of experience in the field, this IES eLearning course is designed to provide the necessary groundwork for lighting designers to create safe and pleasing night environments. Consisting of 10 self-paced sessions, this course gives registrants an opportunity to receive a CEU certificate of completion consisting of 10 continuing education units (CEUs) or 10 American Institute of Architects learning units (LUs).

The specifics and intricacies of landscape lighting differ from other types of lighting, notes IES. By looking at the science and art of lighting, how humans perceive light, and how they use light to guide people through nighttime landscape spaces, this program will elevate understanding and expand creativity.

In addition, a second course of 10 sessions is planned for the near future. To learn more about this course and information on how to register, visit the IES eLearning website
