Utility Rebates for Solid-State Lighting V5.1-Only in 2023

Nov. 23, 2022
Now is the time for distributors, manufacturer reps, energy services companies and others to prepare for this change.

While many utility commercial lighting rebate programs are still providing rebates for Solid-State Lighting (SSL) V5.0 products, only V5.1-compliant products will be eligible as of 2023. Now is the time for distributors, manufacturer reps, energy services companies and others to get ready for this change.

The SSL Qualified Products List provides a comprehensive list of commercial lighting products that maximize energy savings and user benefits, as outlined in the SSL V5.1 Technical Requirements. More than 90% of DesignLights Consortium (DLC) members require DLC listing for rebate eligibility, meaning you must install a V5.1-listed product to ensure you will receive incentives.
