    As outlined in Sec. 310.10(D) of the 2014 NEC, when installing conductors or cables exposed to the direct rays of the sun, conductors and cables shall be listed as being sunlight resistant, or listed and marked as being sunlight resistant or covered with an insulating material, such as tape or sleeving, that is listed, or listed and marked as being sunlight resistant.
