Explanation: In the 2020 NEC, Sec. 240.24(E) prohibited overcurrent devices, other than supplementary overcurrent devices, from being installed in bathrooms of dwelling units and guest rooms or guest suites, so a commercial office bathroom installation would be okay. However, a change in the 2023 NEC prohibits the installation in any bathrooms, shower facilities, or locker rooms with shower facilities. This change was made to eliminate the difficulty of accessing the overcurrent devices while the facility was occupied.
