Top 10 Highest-Paying Cities for Electricians 2020

Sept. 19, 2021
See which seven cities held onto their top spots for compensation and which three overtook the competition.

It’s no secret that electricians earn a competitive wage. It’s also no secret that certain parts of the country pay more for electricians' skills than others. If you keep up on these pay statistics, you’ll notice the lists typically don't change much from one year to the next. This was mostly the case in 2020, according to the latest numbers released from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its "Occupational Employment and Wages, May 2020 Study." Nevertheless, three cities managed to overtake the competition, bumping off one city in Idaho and two in Illinois. Click through this photo gallery to see what cities (listed from lowest to highest) paid top dollar in 2020 to employ electricians. As always, keep in mind that the cost of living is not taken into consideration, which definitely makes a difference.
