Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. has completed the electrical installation work at the newly constructed Womack Health and Support Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The 63,500-sf clinic, built on the Womack Medical Campus, provides behavioral health and social work/family advocacy services in support of soldiers, retirees and families of the Fort Bragg community. While the new facility offers increased access to health and social services, it also frees space within the Womack Army Medical Center, which allows for the expansion of other medical programs.
Exterior features of the facility include a walking trail and relaxation garden areas, all viewable from a glass wall within the patient waiting area. In addition to space for the support services offered at the facility, administrative offices are also housed within the new clinic.
Griffin Electric was responsible for installing a 1600A service at the clinic, in addition to a complete fire alarm mass notification system, and systems for e-call, tele/data and security.
Hensel Phelps Construction Co., of Chantilly, VA, was the general contractor for the project, while Canon Design, of Arlington, VA, the architect, and R.G. Vanderweil Engineers, of Boston, MA, the electrical engineer.
