Fire-Link II is a UL-listed power line-networked system that activates audible and visible alarms inside apartments in buildings that don’t have in-suite alarms. The product consists of two components: the in-suite device (ISD) and the network monitoring controller (NMC). Featuring a 90-dB loudness at 3 m, the ISD alarm unit plugs directly into any electrical outlet. In addition, it meets the National Fire Alarm Code 75-dB requirement when measured with an intervening bedroom door closed between the ISD and the occupant. Powered by an AC connection, the NMC connects to the existing fire-alarm system control unit and is designed to manage all the ISDs in an apartment building.
