Conductive plastic enclosures

Feb. 6, 2006
EC&M's weekly product pick.

This RFI-capable version of the 1594 heavy-duty small enclosure family is molded in a metal-loaded plastic that gives attenuation levels of more than 50 dB from 100 MHz to 1,000 MHz. According to the company, the conductive plastic enclosure has EMC screening capabilities and is less susceptible to damage during assembly or normal use than a painted-on conductive layer. It has a 3-mm-thick wall and is available in five sizes, ranging from 56x56x40 mm to 167x107x65 mm.
