The BERT is a PC-controlled, wireless smart plug that can program 24-hr management of the energy being used by individual electrical devices throughout a commercial, industrial or educational facility. According to the company, the plug can save as much as 35% of a user’s energy costs by being programmed to shut down devices not being used or needed, and by eliminating any energy being wasted through phantom load. UL-approved, ROHS-compliant and FCC-certified, the self-contained product can be plugged into any 115VAC outlet and then programmed and controlled from an energy manager’s PC, using a facility’s existing Wi-Fi network, via a supplied Web-based software interface.
