The Express T5 Retrofit Kit Series for T12 and T8 lamps reduces lighting energy
bills by up to 73% per year and air-conditioning energy usage up to 15%, according to the company. The UL-listed kit is “plug-and-play” ready and features 3 mg of mercury — 89% less mercury compared to T12 fluorescent tubes. In addition, the product does not require the existing magnetic ballast to be replaced or bypassed.
