The CFS-BL firestop block features a “grid-tech” component and an improved f
ormula that allows for larger openings, greater annular space, and improved performance under fire conditions, according to the company. The pre-compressed block offers simple installation, with no special tools required, for wall or floor applications with fire ratings from 1 hr to 4 hr for a variety of through penetrations. In addition, the product is non-curing, making it reusable and suitable for new penetrations or re-penetrations.
