Wall scanner

Detects wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metal, plastic, and unshielded live electric wiring Sensing depth of up to 3 in. Scans up to a 9.8-ft wall section in a straight line
Nov. 18, 2014

The DCT419 hand-held wall scanner locates embedded materials behind walls. The scanner can detect wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metal, plastic, and unshielded live electric wiring behind multiple wall surfaces, including drywall, plywood, concrete, and ceramic tile at a sensing depth of up to 3 in. Designed to scan up to a 9.8-ft wall section in a straight line, either vertically or horizontally, multiple sensors inside the tool register material type that is most likely behind the wall surface, and the detection results are displayed on a 3.5-in. LCD color screen. Pre-scan mapping mode eliminates the need to calibrate or choose between settings, while a tracking bar counts the number of embedded materials detected in a scan.
