The explosion happened in the electrical room of the plant, and no one was injured.

An electrical explosion occurred this morning at the Bristol Herald Courier printing plant in Bristol, Tenn. The explosion happened in the electrical room of the plant, and no one was injured according to a report from the Courier.

The explosion cut power to the plant, and the publisher and staff are assessing the damage to see if repairs can be made and power restored in time to print Thursday's editions at the facility or at some other BH Media Group newspaper. The damage seemed to have been limited to smoke filling the plant and the electrical systems.

All of the printing projects for today's editions had been completed, and the plant was in the middle of shift changes when the electrical explosion occurred, the newspaper reported.
