Subcontractor Electrocuted at Hilton Waikoloa Village

The man, identified as 34-year-old Aaron Barrett, was taken to the North Hawai’i Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A subcontractor conducting routine electrical work at Hilton's Waikoloa Village died from electrical shock last month.

The man, identified as 34-year-old Aaron Barrett, was taken to the North Hawai’i Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to a report from Big Island Now, HPD has ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

“It’s a tragedy anytime a loss of life occurrs,” said Roger McDowell, Hilton Waikoloa Village director of marketing. “Our prayers go out to the family of Aaron Barrett. We are cooperating with all of the local authorities to determine the cause of death, which is currently under investigation.”
