Ten inmates at the Fort Bend County Jail in Texas recently received certificates of completion of the HVAC/Electrical training course. This is the fourth presentation of certificates to inmates since the program began in 2015.

According to a story from Your Fort Bend News, the vocational project is one component of Second Chance Opportunities and Re-Entry Educational (S.C.O.R.E) Programs, which has a goal of providing education for inmates in order to avoid returning to crime.

The inmates received certificates for completing the 10-week, 112-hour program. Every inmate who took the class passed both the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) test as well as the tests for electrical training.
