The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) recently released its 2018 and 2019 annual conference featured interviews online through the IES eLearning Portal in an effort to support the lighting industry throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The interviews are available free online to anyone interested in viewing them, but they do not offer continuing education units (CEUs).

Featured interviewees include James Broderick (2019), formerly the solid-state lighting technology manager in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, U.S. Department of Energy; Kit Cuttle (2018), on his theory of transforming the approach to lighting design and metrics; and Shuji Nakamura (2019), Nobel Prize winner and inventor of white light-emitting LEDs.
