North Coast adds 34 branches in the Northwest to Sonepar's footprint.

Sonepar USA, Charleston, SC, the U.S. subsidiary of Paris-based Sonepar Group, has entered into an agreement to acquire North Coast Electric, Seattle, WA.

Family owned and operated since 1913, North Coast is a regional powerhouse offering a full line card of commercial, residential and industrial electrical products. This acquisition adds 34 branches to the Sonepar USA network in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Arizona.

“I am thrilled that we have sold North Coast Electric to Sonepar. Sonepar is another family-owned company that holds many of the same values that we have embraced since buying the business from the Byrne family in 1974. It was extremely important to make sure that the associates that made for our success were offered a great opportunity to move forward with a world-class organization,” said Pete Lemman, CEO of North Coast.

North Coast Electric ranked #17 on the 2018 Electrical Wholesaling list of the Top 200 electrical distributors in the U.S. market, reporting sales of over $509 million and 686 employees.
