Kenall Lighting has introduced the MedMaster Pillow and Pillow Slot luminaires for patient room applications, combining a refined over-bed aesthetic with performance tailored to healthcare environments. The MedMaster Pillow, offered in 2x2 and 2x4 configurations with an optional tunable white feature, delivers cove-like illumination through a concave lens that creates a smooth light gradient, supports ambient, exam, reading, and night modes, and achieves Unified Glare Rating (UGR) values from 10 to 14.. Designed to enhance visual comfort for both patients and clinical staff, it also provides strong color rendering and controlled optics aligned with industry standards. The Pillow Slot, available in 4-ft and 6-ft lengths, can be specified individually or in pairs flanking the bed, using asymmetric distribution to keep the source out of the patient’s direct line of sight while delivering uniform, diffuse illumination and smooth transitions between ambient and exam lighting. Both luminaires carry IP64 and NSF2 listings to support infection control requirements, and feature tool-less, room-side access with quick-release torsion springs to streamline installation and maintenance for facility teams.
