The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently announced it has postponed the 7th annual National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, originally scheduled for May 4-8, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be rescheduled for this summer.

Falls remain the leading cause of fatal injuries to workers in the construction industry. While the National Stand-Down is postponed, OSHA encourages employers to remain vigilant and to use all available resources, including those at https://www.osha.gov/StopFallsStandDown/ to enhance worker safety.
