IBEW Apprentices Earn Degrees from Eastern Gateway Community College

Students complete both apprenticeship and associate degree in electrical trades technology

In a partnership between Steubenville, Ohio-based Eastern Gateway Community College and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 246, eleven students recently finished a five-year apprenticeship program while also earning an associate degree, according to a report from The Weirton Daily Times. Their graduation, which marks the ninth class of graduates, was celebrated by IBEW Local 246 and members of the Steubenville Division of the National Electrical Contractors.
