San Jose, Calif.-based Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI), recently announced that the Thunder Valley Casino, whose electrical infrastructure was built by CEI, will receive the Four Diamond Award from AAA in 2012. The new, high-rise, 294-room hotel at the casino was deemed Four-Diamond worthy by AAA based on a variety of criteria, including guest services and amenities.

“We congratulate the United Auburn Indian Community and Thunder Valley Casino on such a prestigious achievement,” said Brett Boncher, director of project management for CEI. “The amenities of the property and the ambiance created by the high-impact electrical design are first-rate. We are proud to have partnered with Thunder Valley Casino to provide technically-complex electrical solutions to help the casino achieve a state-of-the-art facility worthy of AAA recognition.”

Cupertino Electric helped the United Auburn Indian Community build the 275,000-square-foot Thunder Valley Casino nearly a decade ago featuring three full-service restaurants, a spa, gift shop, food court, and fire station. Recently, CEI completed construction on the new, 294-room hotel, a 1.4 million square foot parking garage, and a central plant at the site to ensure the casino never loses power.
