Underwriters Laboratories launches education initiative for NJATC apprentice electricians

Northbrook, Ill.-based Underwriters Laboratories recently announced the launch of a new education and scholarship program for the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC). UL's commitment to NJATC will total $100,000 in scholarship funds for apprentices across the United States over the next five years.

As part of the new education program, UL will donate $1,000 scholarships to twenty different Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees (JATC) for individual apprentice electricians beginning their second year of training.
