The Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY) will honor the founders of Fisher Marantz Stone (FMS) — Jules Fisher, Paul Marantz (posthumously), and Charles Stone — with the prestigious 2025 ICON Award at the Beacon Awards on October 29, 2025, at Sony Hall in New York City.

The ICON Award recognizes individuals and firms whose contributions have profoundly advanced the role of lighting in the built environment and within the Greater New York design community.

“On behalf of the Beacon Awards Committee, I am privileged to announce we will be honoring these three lighting industry giants and memorializing the life and legacy of Paul Marantz,” said Charles Pavarini III, committee chair.

Now in its second year, the Beacon Awards also spotlight exceptional lighting achievements across ten categories, including commercial, cultural, residential, retail, hospitality, and experiential design. Proceeds from the event support the Lana Lenar Lighting Empowerment Scholarship, which helps develop the next generation of lighting designers. Submissions are open until September 15, 2025.

The 2025 ceremony will take place Wednesday, October 29, from 4:00–7:30 p.m. at Sony Hall.
