Nov. 1, 2025

One of the longest-running departments at EC&M is the “What’s Wrong Here?” series by longtime contributor, electrical inspector, and code consultant Russ LeBlanc. Back in January of this year, the Members-Only quiz featured some of the most popular “What’s Wrong Here?” images from 2024 and gave you the chance to test your electrical inspection skills. That quiz was so popular that we are bringing it back with a new installment featuring some of the “best of the worst” electrical violations from this year.

Using the 2023 NEC, test your Code knowledge to determine what’s wrong with these electrical installations in this five-question quiz. After submitting your answers, you can enter for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Amazon! Note: You don’t have to get all the answers correct to win.
