Q. Can metal raceways and cables be used with nonmetallic boxes?

A.  Yes, see Sec. 314.3

Nonmetallic boxes can only be used with nonmetallic cables and raceways.

Ex 1: Metal raceways and metal cables entering nonmetallic boxes must be bonded to the circuit equipment grounding conductor. (Figure)
