Although the field of engineering has traditionally consisted of mostly men, more and more women are choosing to enter the field today, studying and working alongside their male counterparts. With International Women’s Day coming up on March 8, we wanted to honor some of the female pioneers who made significant strides in the field of engineering. From overcoming polio to starring in a comic strip, these unique and hard-working­­ women helped pave the way for today’s women in engineering.
