Hint: Measure twice, cut once.
It looks like this liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit (LFNC) came up a little short of the connector. Was this from a bad measurement? Or did something cause the raceway to shift? Either way, Sec. 300.14 requires raceways to be continuous between cabinets, boxes, boxes, conduit bodies, fittings, wireways, and other enclosures or outlets. It may be a little difficult to tell from the photo, but the wiring used inside the LFNC appears to be NM cable. Installing NM cable here is a violation of Sec. 334.12(A)(4) as NM cable is not permitted to be installed in wet or damp locations. I would consider the outdoor location under this overhang to be a “damp location” since Art. 100 defines a damp location as those “locations protected from weather and not subject to saturation with water or other liquids but subject to moderate degrees of moisture.”
